Our ministry
Held by a ministry team
The New Mysteries is not built around a single guide. Our programs and gatherings are held by a ministry team committed to the mission, practices, and responsibilities of the church.
The ministry team's role is to prepare the container, explain the practices, establish clear agreements, and accompany members through the work without asking anyone to surrender their judgment or personal authority.
No one is asked to accept a prescribed belief. The invitation is to practice sincerely, listen deeply, and discover what becomes possible.
The container
A church, on purpose
The New Mysteries is a religious organization, organized as a nonprofit corporation under the laws of the State of Delaware and operating as a church under Section 508(c)(1)(A) of the Internal Revenue Code. That structure is not decoration. It is what lets this work be held as ministry: sacred practice offered in a pastoral capacity, with the autonomy and the responsibility that come with it.
The church maintains its bylaws and ecclesiastical governance as part of its founding documents, operates with full religious, financial, and administrative autonomy, and adheres to the federal and state regulations that govern nonprofit religious organizations.
